Medication Assisted Treatment

MAT is the use of medications in combination with counseling and behavioral therapies for the treatment of opioid addiction. The goal of medication assisted treatment is to recover from addiction. It does NOT replace one addictive drug with another. It provides a safe, controlled level of medication to overcome the use of a problem Opioid.

To highlight the recovery potential of art while spreading the message that mental illness is nothing to be ashamed of, local artists recently submitted their artwork to Gratiot Integrated Health Network (GIHN) for an opportunity to be chosen to represent Gratiot County in the Statewide Traveling Art Show sponsored by the Community Mental Health Association of Michigan (CMHA).
